2020

Well, was quite a different year: 2020.

It started well, and in February, my daughter and I were contemplating a trip to Mexico. We went back and forth, trying to keep up with the ever-changing news and non-news. We decided to go, and it was a great trip. The resort in Acapulco was very clean, safe and large enough that we hardly had to interact with anyone. We only took one trip away from the resort to a small fishing village. So we read and lounged in the sun and swam and ate good food.  We thought briefly about staying there as the news in US got worse and worse--and there was no covid news then in Mexico--but the day before we were scheduled to leave, we learned that the next day the border would be closed.

It was a weird trip home. Airports were practically empty. In fact, my flight out of Houston was cancelled twice and I had to buy a new ticket on a different airline to make it back home.

That was practically my only movement away from home for a couple months.
